Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer & Cloud Application Administrator to join our growing IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, experience in administrating cloud applications, and expertise in managing container engines. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s cloud infrastructure while ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of the environment. Additionally, proficiency in containerization technologies is essential for optimizing application deployment and scaling.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) solutions.
• Administer cloud applications, such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
• Develop and implement robust system disaster recovery plans and procedures to minimize downtime and data loss in case of unforeseen events.
• Utilize container engines (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to containerize applications, enabling efficient deployment, scaling, and management.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify trends and potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to resolve them.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
• Implement security solutions, such as firewalls, network security groups, and identity and access management (IAM), to ensure the security of the cloud environment.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, security policies, comprehensive disaster recovery plans, and containerization strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud computing, containerization, and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve the company’s cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in cloud computing and cloud application administration.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, including network security, data encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and disaster recovery planning.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with DevOps tools, such as Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in managing container engines (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for optimizing application deployment, scaling, and management.
