Q7 Q4: How can I create my products with Kacific FlexVNO?
You can create your products via the Virtual Network Operator platform.
The Virtual Network Operator platform allows the configuration, packaging, portioning, traffic profiling, monitoring of the network, and commissioning and provisioning of individual terminals.
Via the platform, you can set traffic profiles and preferences, set package boundaries and limits, or integrate bandwidth into your network with your own traffic rules.
Q8 Q3: What makes FlexVNO different?
Kacific provides low-cost, high-speed, reliable satellite broadband via Kacific1, Kacific’s high throughput satellite, which reuses the same spectrum multiple times to achieve greater spectral efficiency and hence a lower cost per bandwidth.
Kacific1 also uses Ka-band technology and spectrum with spot beams, resulting in availabilities between 99.1% to 99.9%. Such availabilities are entirely suitable for internet services and, in many places, exceed the availability of terrestrial networks or even mobile networks.
With FlexVNO, you can provision sites to connect to the internet without any further investment. Kacific offers the hub, teleport, and internet protocol (with an separate charge) as part of the same agreement.
For more information about Kacific1 technology, do refer to https://kacific.com/technology

Kacific can also provide to the customer IPv4 transit (Kacific IP Transit) that can be bundled with the satellite bandwidth at a separate cost.
Q10 Q1: What is FlexVNO?
FlexVNO is Kacific’s flagship and most versatile service.
FlexVNO delivers uncontended high-speed wholesale bandwidth to Internet Service Providers (ISPs), allowing them to deliver broadband plans and services tailored to the needs of their end-users.
FlexVNO is rapidly deployable, cost-effective, and compatible with small, easily installed, simple-to-maintain satellite dishes.
ISPs can manage their end-users through a VNO (Virtual Network Operator) with the bandwidth allocated and shape different plans and packages through the same platform.

Q5 Q2: Who is CommsBox suitable for?

Q1 Q6: Is there a deposit?
No deposit is required as the service will be automatically suspended if the payment is not received past the due date. You may however prepay for the service.
Q2 Q5: Is there a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) applied to Gigstarter terminals and plans?
Yes, there is a Fair Usage Policy, which is part of our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The general goal of the AUP is to define what is an unacceptable use of internet service via the Kacific network. The FUP then supplements this by curbing the usage of the heaviest user to ensure that all users of the network get a good experience of the internet and are not affected by the over-consumption of outliers.
At the start of the activation date of the terminal, every user begins with the same high-priority access to all types of services via the internet. As the heaviest users start to reach the stipulated consumption threshold disproportionate to their contracted plans, other users who are consuming within those thresholds will see their usage prioritized.
The traffic usages of the users within threshold will be prioritized, allowing faster access to services. Kacific will review from time-to-time the thresholds and prioritization of data under the FUP.
The full text of the AUP and FUP are available on-demand on the Kacific website (https://kacific.com/kacific-acceptable-use-policies/).
Q3 Q4: Is there a minimum number of terminals I need to provision for any of the service Plans?
No minimum commitment to the number of terminals deployed and under a Service Contract. All current Service Plans can be subscribed to for 1 terminal only.
Q4 Q3: What are the Gigstarter service plans available for sale?
A variety of Service Plans will be published and updated regularly for each country with different provisioning parameters and prices. These will be disseminated to you by your local Sales and Regional Directors. A Service Plan is made of peak access speeds (PIR), monthly fees, contract duration, and other commercial conditions such as activation and termination fees if applicable, and traffic priority rules.
Q5 Q2: How can I sell the Gigstarter service?
With Gigstarter, ISPs do not need to commit to a large amount of wholesale Ka-band bandwidth. They only commit to each terminal for a minimal short period, typically a month, and can stop each terminal service at given notice.
The ISP can activate terminals in every beam that covers the country, subject to availability. Each Gigstarter terminal will be operating in a large bandwidth pool to allow high Peak Information Rate (PIR), which otherwise would only be feasible for ISPs buying a very large quantity of bandwidth to cover a country.
Sign up with Kacific at www.kacific.com/contact and we will get back to you with more details within 3-5 working days.
